One of the few benefifits of a down economy, is that it forces management to go through an exercise in "corporate fifitness" to identify and eliminate ineffificiencies and look at ways to improve profifit (increase sales and/or reduce costs). After assessing your employees and their performance, looking at operational costs, cutting discretionary costs (like travel), eventually the CEO and Finance will look at technology.
